The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a Class I Recall to address the dangers posed by a software bug associated with the t:connect mobile app on iOS for the TSlim X2 Insulin Pump. This mobile app is used to monitor and control the t:slim X2 Insulin Pump, which is used by individuals with diabetes. The FDA issued a Class I recall, the most serious type of recall, due to over 200 injury reports related to the TSlim X2 Insulin Pump software bug. A Class I recall indicates that the product can “cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”
