Associate Attorney
Sam Hoefs is an associate attorney in the Minneapolis office of Nigh Goldenberg Raso & Vaughn. She focuses her practice on representing survivors of sexual assault and child sexual abuse, victims of terrorism, and those injured by pharmaceuticals and consumer products in complex litigation, including class actions and multidistrict litigation. Because Sam recognizes that many of her clients have experienced profound trauma, she takes a trauma-informed approach to each case in order to promote her clients’ wellbeing while seeking accountability through litigation.
Sam received her juris doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis. During law school, she represented the plaintiff-appellant in a civil rights case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit as part of her law school’s appellate clinic. After graduating, Sam worked as a judicial law clerk for two judges in Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District Court. She then began working for another Minneapolis law firm handling mass tort and sexual assault cases, before joining Nigh Goldenberg Raso & Vaughn in 2023.
